Since 1989, I’ve built a reputation for solving avionics challenges that stump others. What started as a humble one-man operation at Oakland County International Airport has grown into Top Flight Avionics at Willow Run Airport—one of Michigan’s most respected avionics shops.
But here’s what I’ve learned over 35+ years: pilots don’t need sales pitches. They need straight talk, honest assessments, and certifications they can trust. That’s why I created The Certman—a mobile certification division focused exclusively on what matters most: keeping your aircraft legal, safe, and airworthy.
I come to your hangar across Michigan and Northern Ohio. No ferry flights. No shop waits. Just professional IFR and VFR certifications performed to exact FAA standards. And if your equipment still works safely, I’ll tell you to keep flying it. If it needs replacing, I’ll explain exactly why.
